Burning out.

Oh wow! It's been almost a month since I last wrote something here.. I've been super busy with my school assignment and floorboll-stuff. But during that time I've become super addicted to Pinterest. I can't believe that I can spent hours and hours by pinning all those cute mason jar stuff and all those lovely looks I get inspired by.

So where was I? Oh yeah, I've been spending weeks by sewing and ironing and sewing my mini collection which will be my last school assignment. It's supposed to be ready by the end of May but I'm way ahead of it. And I'm the kind of person who starts to second guess herself if there's time for it. And oh yeah I've had time for it!! I still have two weeks to finish my collection and I'm already thinkind it's not good enough and bla bla bla. I think I need a second opinion from someone I trust. It's just hard when I at these kind of things I trust myself the most.

But I try to chill and just keep going. And in couple of weeks I'll concentrate on this blog.

I'd rather DIY than BUY.

I was wearing my DIY shorts today and got really excited for DIY-stuff again. Browsing through DIY-blogs and Pinterest is the first step I always take when it comes to DIY. Shorts are pretty easy way to start. Just cut old jeans into shorts and distress them or bleach or add studs.

My shorts were originally men's jeans that belonged to my brother who gave them to my mother who gave them to me. My bf hates them but I'm in love.

I cut the jeans and bleached them in our bathroom sink. Just poured chlorite to the sink and sank half of the shorts there. I also brushed the chlorite to the jeans to make it affect faster and better. Then I rinsed them and washed in the washer. Just don't put anything else in the washer if you don't wish them to bleach.

So I've been spying some new DIY-ideas lately and came across these which are shown right below.

Easy ones but could save an outfit.

I'm in love.

Got these already back in February but couldn't wear them until last week. I hit the jackpot at Etsy.com:s Vintage section. I'm not sure if they're vintage but it really doesn't matter 'cause they're pure love. Can't wait to wear them with bare legs and white collar shirt.

HERMIONE, IS THAT YOU?!

I've been a potterhead for a long time. Approximately 11 years. I loved the books  and the movies. I concidered J.K. Rowilings as one of the most amazing women ever. I still do. I also had a huge crush on Daniel Radcliffe when I was 11 years old. Potters just rocked my world.

Maybe 'cause of that I have always followed Emma Watson's style pretty intensively. She hasn't hopped on the hot mess-bandwagon but have maintained her elegant yet quirky style. I love how normal she has been through these years.

So when I see her dressep up like this I go NOOOO, (Insert some strong explicit words here)!!!!

And then I realize she's dressed up for a role. Phew! Although I'm loving her jacket and glasses. If it wasn't the bras I'd be sold. Totally.

Je T'aime Moi Non Plus

So i'm working on my final assignment which will be a small womens collection. It's going to be from 3 to 4 looks. I spent days searching for inspiration and finally found it from spotify. Not kidding. Just by listening some music I found my lost inspiration. It was Amy, Duffy and Dolly who gave me the tools to build my collection. So now I'm at a good point when it comes to my work but still if I hesitate or have second thoughts I just turn back to my inspiration. It always helps.

So what are the main elements to the collection? The elegance and style of a 60s/70s woman, candy colours and the vibe from Paris. I could see Jane Birkin or Brigitte Bardot strut their stuff in my clothes. Ridiculous but fun to think about.

So what was the music that inspired me? Here's few!
